It looks as though Apple might have got itself into a little bit of trouble with its ads touting speed a level of speed that isn't delivered in the real world.
Obviously, the company is working hard on a fix and it's not all there fault, but they have left themselves open for consumers to take a pop at them- like this..

Hi, The article made me frown a bit. I mean, how many of the ads you see on TV or print can be called truthful? Have you checked your detergent with this measuring stick? Have you checked if your catfood looks as deliciious as on TV when you pour it out at home? Are your chips as crispy as it sounds on TV? Does your car shine as bright as on TV? How can you seriously believe Apple would be more truthful in their ads than other brands?

It appears you don't have Flash installed.

I was totally thinking this when I saw Apple's ad on TV. The phone's not even that fast on wifi, let alone 3G. I guess they didn't claim it's actual speed but that's the assumption when the voiceover says "twice as fast."
