Holiday season is always a time for analysts to make predictions about 2005, the year of the rooster. Influx thought we would share a collection of the variety of the predictions out there.

economy: us economic growth predicted to be around 3.4%

home sales: second highest year on record predicted with 6.3 million sales

manufacturing and supply: the physical limits of global distribution will be tested

global wireless: mobile penetration in India will reach 8.2% in 2005

wireless: multi-media companies will enter the wireless market in 2005

technology: rfid will become even hotter

the home: smart technology will arrive in appliances- refrigerators that can monitor shelf life

product development: expect a new wave of disposable products from dvds to toilet brushes

health and fitness: shorter duration workouts will become more widespread in fitness centers

fashion:booming market for kids plus size clothing

travel: more airlines to go under
