Acclaimed British sculptor Antony Gormley has been commissioned all over the world to construct his vast iron statues that tower above neighboring architecture. His most notable work, 'Field for the British Isles,' is an installation of 40,000 miniature clay figures, each one handmade. Gormley has described the piece as '25 tons of clay energized by fire, sensitized by being given eyes, a field of gazes which looks at the observer making him or her its subject.'
