With the run up to the G8, pro-bono organizations are frantically trying to get their different messages across to public and politicians alike. Live8 will be one of the biggest global media events ever with dozens of major name musicians performing in 8 cities around the world.

Cafe Direct is the UK's largest fair trade hot drinks (coffee, tea, chocolate) company. To promote their brand and the issue of fair trade, Cafe Direct is promoting a very unusual concert; a concert that's the complete antithesis of Live8.

The concert Flight 5065 has a line up of artists, musicians, poets and comedians set to perform. The big difference from a conventional concert is the venue; the artists will perform in the pods of the London Eye (a giant observatory wheel). The maximum capacity of each pod is 20 people.

For the concertgoer, the event will be a potluck. They have no idea who they will see perform; all they know is the time of their performance.

Cafe Direct and its ad agency Host should be commended for a truly innovative idea that will ensure the Fair Trade issue makes the headlines.
