With US domestic careers downsizing their in-flight catering to a bag of peanuts or pretzels, Austria's Lauda Air has been using in-flight catering as a differentiator. On Economy Flights longer than 2 hours, passengers are given the choice of two menus with meals being served on porcelain. In Business Class, passengers have their own "flying chef" who prepares 5 course gourmet meals for all passengers. The chefs are an integral part of the experience, presenting their creations and getting feedback from passengers post-meal.
