Photography is often about making the invisible, visible. Eirick Johsnon is a San Francisco photographer who's recent project, Borderlands examines the boundaries between the natural and artificial. These are places where nature meets the man made head on and creates places that conform to none of our familiar and idealized notions. They are places that are overlooked, uninhabited and always unnoticed. These spaces are uniquely weird and uncomfortable no-man's lands. Johnson's images bring these spaces to life in all their raw, strange and often wonderful forms.
