Spot Runner is a new web based service that allows small and medium sized companies to place advertising on cable networks. Its user-friendly interface appears to take most of the complexity out of planning and buying and even creating an ad. They even have a selection of beautifully crafted generic ads that your business can put its name on.

It appears to be a smart idea for those advertisers who still believe they need TV spots to drive their business and who can grumble about getting an ad on air for $500. This is perfect if you are not concerned about creative quality, or the day-part where their spots will air. For the country's 11 million local businesses that are currently underserved by the sales departments of cable companies and advertising agencies, this is a great solution.

One of the founders, Nick Grouf is interviewed here.

CheapTVSpots.com vs. Spot Runner
Spot Runner's larger competitor Cheap-TV-Spots.com has better quality, lower price and are very fast (1 day turnaround is possible). CheapTVSpots.com also charges less per spot for national airings than Spot Runner charges for local. Spot Runner can't air over national networks. Cheap TV Spots is local, national and international via TV, the web or mobile.
