The West's love affair with the automobile looks set to continue, now that a German property developer has set a new trend: the car loft.

These are spacious lofts with a twist, car lifts that take you and your car to your loft. The car is then parked on your deck, until you next need to use it. One of the prime reasons for the development was convenience; integrating the car into the home saves the busy executive valuable time, that was often wasted looking for a parking spot.

Instead of parking in a typical parking spot, you park in the "CarLoggia" which is described as the "ideal space for the upkeep and presentation of your precious car", also noting that it can also be turned into a "showcase for your precious car".
