The recent news that soda vending machines will be banned from many of this nation's schools is welcome relief to those who campaigned for years to make this happen.

However, one only needs to look across the Atlantic to Britain to see what can happen when you ban unhealthy stuff in schools.

According to a BBC news report, the most enterprising of kids are now smuggling unhealthy foods into school and selling them for a healthy profit.

In the playground black market, their "crisps" or your "chips" are being sold for 20 pence or about 40 cents and chocolate bars are 30 pence or 60 cents.

So don't be surprised if soda comes back to US schools via the kids black market.
